BOOK ONE in the series THE VISION PAINTER
FALLING COLOURS – The Misadventures of a Vision Painter
KIRAN is the only vision painter working in Ireland, the only female in the ancient Indian profession. As a vision painter, she paints the hopes and dreams of her clients into existence. Her practice is not doing well and she works as a waitress in a struggling restaurant in Connemara. When Kiran is asked to paint the forbidden, forces are unleashed that she cannot contain, including two infuriating women with whom she must work in a race to restore order and save her gift.
FALLING COLOURS is the first book in The Vision Painter series and introduces the unique concept of vision painting and Kiran, a woman who struggles with a fascinating gift.

Love this story..found Vision Painting intriguing, and was immediately draw in. Before reading the book I've always had great admiration for the India culture, custom's and people, their intellect and natural humbleness, so learning the art of Vision Painting was fascinating for me. The story itself is my kind of story and told so well by the Author, it's characters each with their own very different personalities, fit together to make this a good read. Nothing like a story written with a learning experience, mystery, and a great love story. The Author has an ability to give her characters, soul, even the ones who's souls have departed them. I recommend this journey, to everyone.Product details

Falling Colours The Vision Painter Book 1 edition by R J Samuel Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Mystery, accompanied by the good, bad, and ugly of human character all come together in this masterfully woven tale. If you could choose your destiny, could you, would you, and once rewarded, would you remember to say, "Thank you?" If you appreciate literature that examines how we handle the big questions of life, loss, love, ethics, and consequences, and if you crave your protagonist to be lesbian, this is a book worth investing your time in. RJ Samuels is a deep thinker, an astute observer of human character, and her writing shows it. The various characters were drawn with great psychological reality. I almost passed this by because the title didn't suggest what the story was about and the cover was kind of bland. If I were choosing a title, I think I'd call it Resurrection. And another cover? Well, let's leave that to imagination *S*.
Great book. Loved all the details of Kiran's world of colours. To read it in 24 hours. I'm sad I don't have the next book!
I liked the book. It was well written. A little long bu good nonetheless . I plan on reading the sequel.
Falling Colours is the most fascinating book I have ever read. The characters are all very real and memorable.
The magic of love touches everything. RJ Samuel`s humour is brilliant. It is about living the life of ones dreams. The mystery adds to the excitement.
I couldn`t put the book down. I loved, loved, loved it. Now I want to read all of RJ Samuel`s books
I can't wait to read more about Kiran & Ashley. Finally, a story about lesbians that doesn't feel the need for the pre-requisite sex scene (which are normally more awkward than sexy). And I loved the ghost of Marge & her own journey. Looking forward to more
Original concept of vision painting. I was pulled into the characters and the story. Spent all day reading and had to force myself to put it down so I could finally get some sleep at 300 a.m. Loved the descriptive beauty of the Irish countryside. On to book 2 in the series and minimal sleep. Thanks RJ.)
I enjoyed an RJ Samuel short at the beginning of the week. It led me to the rest of this author's works.
Falling Colours describes a fascinating woman with an incredible gift. I'll not apply my personal concepts to this gift. It's mystical. 'nough said!
Once I made it past Chapter 1, I was washed into a rich and vibrant world. The environment, so delicately described, was palpable. I could feel the aches and see the crashing waves and knots in the wood the boughs of the trees "were nodding off" to sleep. I had never thought of it that way, but it sure does work to describe the tipping of the trees as night falls.
I was well caught up in the intrigue. It was tense and not completely predictable. I mean, I didn't have it all worked out. There several surprises.
